Our commitment
We treat accessibility as part of the service and not as an addition to it. We work so that people with disabilities can also use our websites and systems independently, equally and with dignity, in the spirit of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998 and the regulations made under it.
What this statement covers
This statement applies to the website www.racquet.co.il and to its language sites at www.all-racquets.com, to the Racquet app, which runs in the browser, and to the public pages it publishes — including club pages, public profiles, share pages and the PDF documents the system produces.
Some of the screens are closed work environments behind sign-in, used by club managers, coaches, tournament organisers and the system's administrators. We apply the same principles there too, but the extent of accessibility in a closed environment is weighed against the actual needs of its users.
What has been made accessible
- Full keyboard navigation — every link, button and form field can be reached from the keyboard, with a clear mark on whatever has the focus.
- Skip link to the main content, which appears at the first press of Tab.
- Semantic structure — a sound heading hierarchy, marked content regions and labels on form fields, for screen readers.
- Accessibility menu on every page and in the app: larger text, high contrast, emphasised links and stopping animations. The choice is remembered between visits.
- Respecting the system preference for reduced motion — anyone who has set that in their operating system will see no animations.
- Colour contrast and text that can be enlarged to 200% without losing content or function.
- A layout that adapts to phones, tablets and desktop screens.
- Language and direction are set in the code, so a screen reader pronounces the content correctly in Hebrew and in each of the site's languages.
Level of accessibility
The accessibility work was carried out in line with the principles of the Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines of the W3C. It was done by the Data Pulse team and checked by automated tests and by hand: keyboard navigation, structure and contrast.
For transparency: no accessibility audit has yet been carried out by a qualified external body. We therefore present IS 5568 at level AA as the level we are working towards, and not as a declaration of conformity that has been checked and approved externally.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts may not yet be fully accessible. As at the date this statement was updated, the ones known to us are:
- PDF documents for download or display — draws, orders of play, results and reports — are not necessarily accessible to a screen reader.
- Third-party content embedded in the pages (fonts, and pictures and descriptions of products from partner shops), which is not fully under our control.
- Complex data displays in the management screens, such as wide tables and draw and scheduling boards, which are still being made accessible.
We keep fixing and improving as we go. If you have come across something that is not accessible, we would be glad to hear from you.
Contact about accessibility
Have you run into an accessibility problem, or do you have a suggestion for improving one? We would be glad to hear from you, and we will do our best to deal with it and reply quickly. So that we can act fast, please give the address of the page, the action you were trying to carry out, and the kind of assistive technology you use, if any.
